The GS 160 mk 1 is a unique Vespa in that it had the rear toolbox that no other Vespa had , this was the new design for Vespas new improve 160 engine .

Still piston ported and a torquey ride , the GS mk1 was a complete overhaul on what was the top model from Piaggio the GS150 .

The mk was only made for 1 year 1962 and there was only around 30,000 made compared to 600,000 of the standard models , so very rare and rarer still to have survived all these years , probably less than half made might be still around .

This MK is an older restoration and might require a revamp or ride it as is for now , it has the 12v ignition and lighting upgrade but still the original engine .
