LARGE FRAME VESPA ELECTRIC CONVERSION KIT

Our electric conversion kit for large-frame Vespa scooters includes

• 4kW DC brushless electric motor
• Rear disc brake
• Sinusoidal motor controller
• Custom made swing arm and battery tray
• Keyless ignition
• Digital battery gauge (showing power available)
• LED headlight conversion and all the necessary cables

The whole kit is powered by either one or two removable LG lithium-ion batteries.

We ship worldwide with full installation instructions on our YouTube channel that you or a local garage/mechanic can easily follow.

Alternatively we can install the kit for you at our London showroom and then ship the completed scooter to you almost anywhere in the world. Remember, we stock a range of vintage scooters ready to be restored and converted. We also offer the electric conversion as an alternative to a regular petrol engine to customers who are looking to carry out a classic Vespa restoration with us.

During the build process we strip out the old petrol engine, and install our kit as a direct replacement, this process is also reversible should that ever be a requirement for you.

Battery Options

The large-frame Vespa conversions can carry a choice of two battery sizes, either 1-2 medium or 1 large and charging is done from our external charger using a standard household electric plug and socket which will be suited to your international market voltage.

Our charger can be carried onboard (depending on how many batteries you have) allowing you to charge your battery anywhere you can find a socket.

Types of Large Frame Vespas

There are two different types of large-frame Vespas and our kits are designed to fit both.

• The first of which are Vespa models with a leg-shield toolbox/glove box and spare wheel holder under the left side panel. These include Vespa models: GS 160s, SS180s, Rally 180/200, TS 125, all PX/ P-Range models, along with all Spanish Moto-Vespa derivatives made after 1965.

Should you want to carry 2 medium sized batteries on any of the above models, the spare wheel holder under the left side panel will need to be removed from the frame. Our large size battery only fits under the right side engine panel on these models.

• The second type large-frames are models with the toolbox on the left side panel and facility to carry a spare wheel behind the leg-shield. These include Vespa models: VNA, VBA, VNB, VBB, GL, Sprint, GT, Super, Sprint Veloce, GTR, along with Spanish Moto-Vespa derivatives made between 1958 -1964 and Douglas Vespa models: 152L2 and Sportique.

These models do not require any modifcation to carry medium sized batteries under either panel. If fitted to the left side panel, this battery must be charged onboard as the panel is bolted on. Again our large size battery only fits under the right side engine panel.

This model can also carry a battery behind the leg-shield on our new leg-shield battery holder and spare wheel style cover. This battery holder is a great choice for those who prefer to leave the left side panel compartment free to carry a charger etc.
