Vespa ELECTRIC classic scooter in the MOPED classification that can be ridden on your car licence .
Our electric converted large frame Vespa has been fully restored and converted to electric that is then registered and classified as a 50cc equivalent or moped status.
Using our new 48v battery and set to limited 28 mph top speed our new moped class electric scooters are now available to be ridden in the moped catagory which means that anyone in the UK who has a full car licence before Feb 2001 can ride a "moped" AND take a passenger AND not have to display L -plates, this also applies to those who holds a full car licence after Feb 2001 and takes their CBT, compulsory basic training course.
Our electric conversion kits are versatile in that they are within the set limited 4 KW motor size for the 50cc, moped classification in all countries in Europe and North America.
Running on a 48v battery with the set top speed of 28 mph ( 45 kms ) on a 4 KW motor can there after be easily upgraded to the 125cc status by simply using our 72v battery plus a change to the settings in our app to make the same vehicle a 60 mph ( 100 kms ) 125cc classified scooter.
Our 4 KW electric hub motor has that versatility of still being small enough to stay within the stated moped classification limit and large enough when using the larger 72v battery to easily step up to the next category.
None of the running gear including the battery trays need changing for the step up, all equipment in our kits stays the same such is the versatility of our conversion kits.
